Value Solutions / Sustainability
Permadoor’s commitment to best practice and the environment, through its ISO14001 accreditation ensures it minimises its environmental impact on local communities. This is underpinned by the commitment of our employees, customers and suppliers to ensure sustainable environments for all.
The Epwin group and Permadoor together supports Government and European initiatives to improve the sustainability of building materials and encourages customers to take up end of life recycling opportunities to close the loop.
Permadoor aims to reduce the levels of waste from company processes and where practical recycles waste materials from aluminium and polythene to daily usage of cardboard.
Our sister company – Dekura – recycles over 50% of all available PVC in the UK and are strongly established as the market and technology leader. We have taken this a step further and now recycle post-consumer waste such as 20 year old windows and recycle them back into useful building products.
We have recently introduced a 100% recycled PVC frame which is skinned to ensure colour matching for use with our doorsets. The frame also has the RCM (recycled composite material) as its frame strengtheners throughout.
We are also able to provide a 100% recycled cavity closer if appropriate for all new build construction and also have a fully recycled cill available.
Our doors can be offered with a U-value as low as 0.7w/mk plus you can add the Eco options as:
- RCM Frame reinforcement
- RECO 22 recycled frame
- Recycled cill
- Glazing options to increase the U-value
