Part M
Low Threshold/Wheelchair Access Thresholds Compliance to part M is dependant on the design of the threshold and the installation method. At Permadoor we are committed to ensure all our products meet the latest requirements.
The regulation requires that a wheelchair must not have to negotiate a vertical step of more than 15mm. This does not necessarily mean that a threshold must be less than 15 mm in overall height. The threshold may be higher as long as it incorporates a ramped section of less than 15°angle.
