BS EN ISO 14001:2004

Permadoor is committed to controlling and minimising its environmental impact on all communities, and to working in a sustainable manner.  This is underpinned by the commitment of our employees, customers and suppliers to ensure sustainable environments for all.

We ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, and follow a programme of continuous improvement by the operation of an Environmental Management System; BS EN ISO 14001:2004 across all manufacturing sites.

As part of compliance to the legislation we undergo a number of environmental audits, which include:

  • Externally audited twice yearly by BSI.
  • Environmental evaluation of legal and other requirements are carried out quarterly in accordance with legislation and the BS EN ISO 14001:2004  
  • Process audits are also carried out to ensure compliance.

All company employees are committed to the management of this policy and understand their responsibilities to insure it is adhered to.

Permadoor’s Commitment

  • Permadoor aim to reduce levels of waste from company processes and, where practical, recycle waste materials.
  • Materials used are sourced from environmentally responsible suppliers, wherever practical.
  • We monitor our energy use and use energy efficiently, including investigating energy efficient technologies.
  • We monitor fuel use and promote fuel efficiency through technology, careful planning and careful driving.
  • We provide employees with environmental training, instruction and procedures relevant to their tasks and responsibilities.
  • We ensure our activities do not create a nuisance to our neighbours.
  • Permadoor operate a programme of continuous improvement and the setting of objectives and targets (reviewed annually) to facilitate the implementation of this policy.
